Learn how to support your body to stay calmer and healthier

In our first session, we start with a conversation about what has been going on for you.
This helps build a picture of your current situation and may also highlight longer-term patterns or pressures affecting your wellbeing.

I take time to understand how you prefer to work so the session feels comfortable and supportive.
So, from week to week you may choose to relax on the treatment couch, sit in a chair, or remain standing and more mobile.
Together we'll find the approach that helps your body release tension, find greater alignment and gain the most benefit.

Functional assessment which assesses mobility and pain by testing individual muscles.
Light, non-invasive touch (the client remains fully clothed).
Simple adjustments using pressure that is adjusted to suit your body's comfort.
Exploratory conversation about where your body is holding strain and what may be contributing to it.
Tailored suggestions for simple self-support measures.

The work takes into account your whole experience - how your body, thoughts and feelings are interacting - rather than focusing on just one aspect in isolation.
When we learn to look at ourselves as one, integrated being - body, mind and emotions - we often uncover new insights that support healing and harmonious living.

Alongside the physical aspects of stress, the body can also carry the effects of difficult periods of life and emotional pressures long after they have passed. Part of my work involves paying attention to these subtle patterns and helping the body to release what it may still be holding. Then a greater sense of ease and balance can return.
I aim to create a calm, respectful space where people feel safe to slow down and listen to what their body may be telling them. Sessions are always gentle, collaborative and tailored to the individual.
The people I work with are usually capable, thoughtful individuals who are used to carrying a great deal of responsibility in their lives. My role is not to "fix" people, but to support the natural healing process through which the body and mind regain balance, clarity and resilience.
I first qualified in Touch for Health Kinesiology in 2012 and was awarded Proficiency in 2014. There are many varieties of kinesiology, but they all involve testing muscles to obtain feedback from the body about where it is holding stress.
I am fully DBS checked and a member of the FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists).
In 2025 I completed Professional Coaching Training with Coaching Development. Coaching recognises that people often have a sense of what is right for them, but feel overwhelmed or unsure how to move forward.
Alongside the body-based work, coaching can help you identify what's blocking your progress and take steps that feel realistic and aligned with who you are.
I am trained in Energetic Cellular Healing (2015-16 with Tjitze de Jong). This work acknowledges that we can unconsciously carry the effects of past experiences and emotions.
Gently working with these deeper patterns can help the body let go of what it no longer needs to hold, allowing a greater sense of ease and balance to emerge.
I began life as a teacher of English in secondary schools. Very early, I became curious about the different ways people learn, and the impact external factors such as emotional wellbeing have on learning. This continues to shape my understanding of how people develop, adapt and change.
I regularly undertake accredited training (including with NICABM) and undertake my own research into trauma, anxiety and nervous system regulation. I attend regular supervision and participate in peer support activities that promote shared learning
I have a lifelong interest in adapting support to embrace different ways of thinking, processing and relating. Currently I am completing Neurodiversity Coach Certification.
I also bring lived experience of neurodiversity and hyper-sensitivity within my own family.
"I genuinely look forward to my sessions with Hilary. She's is kind, real and easy to talk to, which makes me feel completely comfortable just being myself. I leave every session feeling clearer, more focused and relaxed."

"From my sessions I have taken away that I need to be kind to myself and allow myself all the time I need to heal as I have been through quite a lot of stress in the last year. I can trust that my body knows best and listen to the signals it gives me."
J, Teacher
"I highly recommend Hilary to anyone seeking support in any area of their life. Her knowledge and instinctual ability to unravel exactly where tough areas of your life can create problems will set you back on your feet with renewed energy and vigour."
J, Teacher
"I was sceptical at first, having in the past sought help from various coaches and counsellors. However, the first session proved so powerful that I decided to book several more. After working with Hilary I feel refreshed and ready to face new challenges rather than procrastinating and hoping for the best."
